Random Acts of Kindness

Can you think of a KIND act someone did for you? Is there a KIND act you have done for someone else?
Help YSC win $25,ooo by just sharing a “not so random" act of kindness that you have done... or experienced yourself! It’s always appropriate to say thank you ~ and this act of gratitude can help YSC to continue helping young women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Simply go to The KIND Movement and enter YSCSupport in the “Enter your card code” field. Then get started "kinding"! On June 30th the organization with the most number of KIND acts linked to them will win valuable funding! We certainly hope that you will take a moment to be KIND enough to help us out (sorry ~ couldn't resist!)

Remember to tell your Facebook friends, tweet it out and ask everyone to pay it forward and support YSC!

A New Year, A New Us!

The New Year is upon us, and YSC is looking towards a bright future. The new decade brings with it new opportunities for continuing to grow the YSC family. We do this with support from you.

The battle against breast cancer is a fierce one, and one that is not yet won. There are over 250,000 women living with breast cancer in the United States who were diagnosed under age 40 and it is estimated that over 11,000 young women will be diagnosed this year. A diagnosis of breast cancer for a young woman presents distinct challenges for both her home and work life. She may need to take a leave of absence from work, possibly stalling her career or have difficulty caring for young children and protecting her fertility for future ones.
YSC knows the struggles that are unique to a young woman diagnosed under 40. In creating a network of women with similar experiences, YSC forms a strong circle of support. Women share with each other encouragement, knowledge and strength in peer to peer support groups, weekly meetings, social gatherings and even in the virtual world at www.youngsurvival.org and onFacebook.
As we work to create a safe and caring community, YSC continues to focus on the core goal of ensuring that no woman diagnosed under 40 faces breast cancer alone. We will continue to keep you informed of updates within the medical community and to present to you the most current information available. Through informational seminars, treatment navigation tools and of course our website, we will strive to provide the resources that empower young women to be their own best health advocates!
Until there is a cure for breast cancer, YSC will be here to provide information, support and hope.

We look forward to sharing the successes of 2010 with you and to your continued support of YSC and the young women we serve.

YSC wishes you a Happy New Year!
